Methodology
Tow rating and payload method
How Tow-Match evaluates tow and payload constraints for staged pass, caution, and fail outcomes.
Inputs used
- Vehicle tow rating, payload rating, and GCWR from source-backed model-year records.
- Trailer GVWR and hitch-weight signals from floorplan-year records.
- User load assumptions for passengers, cargo, and trailer cargo/water.
Interpretation guardrails
- Pass never means certified-safe or guaranteed.
- Caution appears when margins are narrow or assumptions are fragile.
- Fail requires a named exceeded constraint under explicit assumptions.

Tow-Match is a planning aid for supported travel-trailer pairings in the staged validation cohort. It does not certify safety, legal compliance, loaded-scale results, hitch setup, or manufacturer approval for your exact configuration.
